1D40.10 • Motion of the Center of Mass: Throw Objects

Instructions / Notes:

• This demonstration consists of three foam objects with the same thickness but different shape.
• Hold each object vertically, and then spin and toss it upward so that it is airborne parallel to the black boards.
• The orange dot shows the center of mass of the spinning object when an ultraviolet fluorescent black light is used.
